You children will learn valuable skills in the kitchen, bring home recipies to use in the new year, and work as a team in FCCC's culinary space with chef instructors! Children will learn about kitchen safety, basic measurements, and so much more!

Summer Camps
2026 Theme: Up, Up, & Away!
This summer, children will explore everything that is Up, Up, and Away! Think dragons, planets, all things that fly, and more! Each week offers a different theme and campers will explore our galleries and outdoor space, as well as new art mediums, led by professional art teachers in a peaceful, safe setting. They’ll draw, paint, construct, sculpt, and more in the studios, make new friends, and build confidence!

Week One, June 2nd - 6th (4 day): Fantasy Flyers
Imagine a world where fairies, dragons, and pegasus fly in the sky! This week’s theme, Fantasy Flyers, will explore fantasy creatures and adventures that fly. Campers will draw, paint, sculpt, print, and more while learning about folklore.

Week Two, June 8th - 12th: Space and beyond!
Looking at space with an artistic eye, children will experiment and create projects inspired by the planets, stars, constellations, and also look at different kinds of “space” such as value and compositional space. Using drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture, students will explore what it means to look at space.

Week Three, June 15th - 19th: Things with Wings
Is it a bird, is it a plane? This week's theme, Things with Wings, will explore animals, machines, and creations that have wings! Think birds, insects, planes, etc. Campers will create drawings, sculptures, and more inspired by things with wings.

Week Four, June 22nd - 26th: Artful Engineering
Bridging the gap between art and engineering, campers this week will create projects inspired by machines in the sky! Think planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, kites, and more.

2-Day Drama Camp at FCCC, June 29th - 30th
Children will work with Disney Acting Coach Sheri Lahris to develop their improvisational skills through small group and individual activities! Children can create new scenarios and imagine endless possibilities given the right techniques and tools, while building confidence.

Week Five, July 6th - 10th: Aerial Perspective
What does an astronaut see from space when looking down at Earth? What does a bird see when flying through the sky? This week is all about aerial perspective. Campers will draw, paint, and create artworks from different perspectives, expressing their own interpretations with their imaginations.

Week Six, July 13th - 17th: Textures in the Sky
This week campers will create patterned collage, textile work, clay patterns, and paint with unusual tools to create a variety of textures! They’ll explore our galleries and outside space to find inspiration in the clouds, sunrises/sunsets, rain, and more.

Week Seven, July 20th - 24th: Reaching the Sun
Reach for the sun! This week is all about exploring what reaches for the sun- from redwood trees to high mountains. Campers will use drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more to learn about all things that grow towards the sun!

2025 Summer Art, Culinary, and Drama Camps
Exploration Vacation: Florida Life
All weeks are Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm
at First Coast Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach

What will students do?
Students ages 6 years old through 12 years old will create 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional works of art using a variety of tools and techniques, led by professional art teachers in a peaceful, safe setting. Each week children will draw, sculpt, build, paint, explore the galleries, and more, related to the weekly theme.
What makes this summer camp unique?
Children will not only explore high quality art making techniques, but also search through the galleries (at FCCC location), play outside, and observe the natural world like art detectives!
*Camps are non-refundable.

Students will learn about Florida's flora and fauna through exploration and discovery. They will draw and paint native species of plants and animals,
and discover prehistoric life that still remains, along with invasive species and the impacts through an artful lens.
Week FOUR: Monday, June 23 - Friday, June 27: Sunset Oranges Registration Closed
Warm colors are a theme this week, along with the study of fruit as it relates to the region, and in art.
NO CAMP during 4th of July week
Week FIVE: Monday, July 7 -Friday, July 11: City Life at the Beach Registration Closed
What makes beach towns' architecture so interesting? Students will draw, paint, print, and build a cityscape around a beach view.
Week SIX: Monday, July 14 -Friday, July 18: Ocean TexturesSold Out
Students will create "sandy", "rough", "salty", '"scaly", and more textures out of clay, paint, and printmaking, such as Gyotaku fish printing.
Week SEVEN: Monday, July 21 -Friday, July 25: Under the SeaSold Out
Students will study sea creatures of all kinds, including those more unknown at the depths of the ocean, and represent them in an artful way.
Culinary Camp Week 1: Monday, July 28 -Friday, August 1 Sold Out
Campers will explore age-appropriate cooking skills and kitchen safety, along with safe practices, introductory nutrition concepts, dining etiquette and more. Each day campers will make a variety of dishes and explore new ingredients and foods. Please contact us about food allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate your camper. Closed-toed sneakers are required. (Please note that the week A of culinary camp and week 8 of Arts camp are during the same week.)

Yummy! The theme of "Sweets" takes the cake during this fun filled 4 day art and drama camp.
In the mornings, children will work with Disney Acting Coach Sheri Lahris to develop their improvisational skills through small group
and individual activities! Children can create new scenarios and imagine endless possibilities given the right techniques and tools, while building confidence.
In the afternoon, the children will paint, sculpt, draw, print, and play games, while learning about artist Wayne Thiebaud.
Known for painting and sculpting the theme of cakes, cookies, pies, and candies, Thiebaud will inspire campers to get into the holiday spirit artistically!

Little chefs will learn kitchen safety, accurate measurements, how to prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including fresh soups and sauces with herbs from FCCC's garden,
and other practical skills, such as dining etiquette, and how to "clean as you go" with a Culinary Instructor.

Build skills and technique while having fun! Dive into the world of acting through improvisation, monologues, scene work, and more. Beginners and veterans will take their craft to the next level in a relaxed atmosphere. Tailored to meet the needs and goals of the individual students: auditions, characterizations, drama, comedy, you name it! Seasoned Acting Coach Sheri Lahris leads students.
