About The BRAject
A Letter From Marlene Scheer
I am thrilled to announce the kickoff of BRAject, a thought-provoking art exhibit and fundraising event benefiting Pink Ribbon Jax. Our goal is to provide lifesaving, free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women and men - men get breast cancer, too. Just $300 covers the cost of one mammogram - one life potentially saved, and an entire circle of family and friends saved from loss. Let’s save some lives!
This is where you come in.
We invite you to be part of an ARTrageous experience. Please contribute your artistic vision by creating an original piece of artwork using an ordinary bra as your canvas. Your masterpiece will be showcased and auctioned off at First Coast Cultural Center on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. First Coast Cultural Center is our host for the first stop of this life-affirming celebration honoring those living with breast cancer and remembering those we have lost to this thief of a disease. Special thanks to First Coast Cultural Center’s Silvia Romero, Director of Programs, and Donna Guzzo, President and CEO, for their support.
Thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Jacksonville University’s Linda Berry Stein College of Fine Arts, 100% of funds raised will go to Pink Ribbon Jax’s Free Mammogram Initiative to provide no-cost mammograms for those who could not otherwise afford this screening.
If you are unable to join us, click here to make a life-saving donation.
Thank you for your support… and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call me.
Looking forward to saving lives together,
Marlene Scheer, BRAject Creator
