Painting Party
Friday - Sunday, August 14th-16th, 2026 │ 10 am - 4 pm
Help us refresh FCCC's exhibition spaces with a fresh coat of white paint!
First Coast Cultural Center is getting a "Splash of White," and we need your help! We're refreshing our exhibition spaces with a fresh coat of paint, and volunteers are the heart of this effort.
Grab a shift between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM:
- Friday, August 14 – Taping Day
- Saturday, August 15 – Primer Day
- Sunday, August 16 – Painting Day
No experience needed, just a willingness to pitch in and help a space that brings art and culture to our community. Volunteers and donations are both welcome and appreciated!
Donations Needed
- Wallpaper-covering primer such as:
- Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3
- Kilz Adhesion Bonding Primer
- Shields Universal Wallcovering Primer
- Sherwin-Williams Pure White Paint (or another brand color-matched to Pure White)
- Paint brushes
- Paint rollers and handle extensions
- Painter's tape
- Paint trays
- Drop cloths
Volunteers Needed
We are looking for 10–20 volunteers each day to help transform our space. Please wear painting-appropriate clothing and shoes.
Volunteers should bring any personal protective items they prefer, such as gloves, masks, aprons, or other paint protection.
We'll provide:
🍕 Pizza
💧 Water
🍪 Snacks
